It’s this line of logic that has recently led me to a realization about a question people frequently ask: why don’t they teach us to understand personal finances, do our taxes, save and grow wealth, etc. in school?

I am now beginning to wonder: is it because in doing so many, many people would be in open revolt at what’s being done to the value they thought they were storing in the currency they’ve been told to trust? Because, as it stands, most people lack an even basic understanding of how the economy or even their own finances work.
