I had a fucking nightmare.

The US government made all Bitcoin transactions illegal if not from a registered Bitcoin wallet. It didn't directly stop peer to peer transactions. But most people wouldn't accept Bitcoin from a rogue address. Because they couldn't use it for most day to day transactions nor convert to Fiat.
