Question for US Bitcoiners: Does all my bitcoin have to follow the same accounting method (LIFO, FIFO, HIFO, etc) for gains taxes? If not, under which circumstances can it be different? Does it matter if it's custodial vs self-custody?

I'm considering tax implications of living on bitcoin standard in 2025 now that Strike has Bill Pay.
