According to sources close to the matter, Apple , X , Airbnb and Google are in preliminary discussions with crypto players regarding the integration of stablecoins.

For businesses, the adoption of stablecoins is a way of reducing transaction costs and optimizing cross-border payments.

Fortune also reports that Meta is turning its attention back to stablecoins after abandoning Libra, an ambitious initiative that failed in the face of regulatory backlash.

"While crypto payments are not something we are focusing on integrating into the platform in the near future, we are still looking at all aspects of payments to find ways to improve our community's experience, including developments in digital assets and their use cases." said an Airbnb spokesperson.
