Ha! Reminds me of a silly old joke:
An econ professor who taught the efficient market hypothesis was walking with a post doc after a lecture when the post doc stooped down to pickup a dropped bill. The professor grabbed their shoulder and said “Don’t bother: if the bill was real, someone else would have already picked it up”
