that seems incorrect. my highschool had its motto: "per ardua ad astra" through hard work (aspera means aspiration or wishes). but sadly i have to report that part of what radicalized me was that my highschool instituted a social credit score. in. i think it was 1992, maybe 1993.
the irony, especially, when i was in year 8, first age class that they phased out latin. catching the pattern here?
