There are a lot of different sayings that indicate that when you are alone in a certain position you are lkely wrong.

And that can hold true most of the time, but not always...

Germ theory is a great example, a single doctor against an entire system, he was right.

Geocentrism another one, a few cientista against the system.

Plate tectonics another one.

I fully believe that #Bitcoin is such a case. The paradigm shift is so huge that most people don't have the mental space to dedicate to understanding it.
