The monolithic thinking imposed by the universities in the US is no different from the monolithic thinking that was imposed by the Church at the Spanish universities back in the 1700’s.

Debating the science that was being developed across Europe was forbidden and instead of exploring the validity and ramifications of Newton’s Laws, we debated whether the purgatory was solid or liquid.

As a result, Spain fell way behind in science and industry compared with its European counterparts and remained an importer of anything that had to be manufactured.

US universities are now falling behind its global counterparts with their lack of debate and discourse.
