There are people who take psychedelics ( drugs that manifest one's own psyche ) and they see this reflection of their own thoughts, tendencies, and biases and then take this altered state to laugh at themselves and critique and change themselves. Then their are others who take psychedelics and believe that their thoughts, tendencies, and biases are the ultimate truth and they are some kind of god... these people are narcissists and lead a solipsistic and hedonistic lifestyle. It must have been horrible luck that in America a group of lousy narcissists like Ginsberg found out about these drugs and denied them to be developed into the transformative medicines we are discovering them to be.
