and another year after that you'll be wondering why anyone uses javascript

The frontend DX is pretty awesome though. I dabbled with Fyne and QT a bit, but found it quite cumbersome (probably did not give it enough time though).

I will definitely give Wails a shot soon (but that’s HTML/Js on the frontend again)

haha, wails, i haven't heard of that one in yeeers lol!

fyne is ok but it's got slow af window size reporting and i've written smoother window scaling code in Gio

Gio, since i last did a lot of work with it, however, completely broke the API and rendered all my work void to run with the new versions

people really need to get a grip on breaking versions, how many years do i have to wait when working with a library before i can depend on upgrades of the version not breaking the api? 5? 10? what the actual fuck is wrong with these people (elias naur et al i'm looking at you)

Interesting. What makes you say that? Or is this a jab at JavaScript for reinventing everything every couple of years?

No, I just hate javascript classes (and other things about javascript). Once you try to call a child class' method from a parent class' static method you'll see what I mean. It does sound like you're using composition rather than inheritance though, so you've at least got that going for you!
