Brainwallets are not a good idea, except in a few extreme circumstances. Fleeing a country with your wealth when you know you can't bring something physical might be the only one.
i think he talks about something different there... i generate the private key with #seedsigner with dices... its completely offline... if i want to use the privkey i will have to enter the seed words.. now if i know this seed in my head thats a brain wallet for me... he talks weird stuff about a private key always resulting in the same address..?? maybe it was like this then..
I think brain wallet is fine if you have signed but untransmitted spend transactions on secured SD card to addresses of wallet backed up to steel plates. Give the SD card to your estate planner that way your beneficiaries can recover when you die. Steel wallet should not be given to lawyer but should instead be stored in a secure tamper proof bag in a safe or deposit box or hole.
