I’ve got 2 hepa filters with charcoal filters, wish I had more but they can be expensive. It helps with smell and does make a difference if your house is dusty a day have dogs or cats. If it freezing out side ya gotta keep the windows closed, in winters we have a larger humidifier as well because it get too dry in the Rockies
