Giving away few says won’t make anybody poor
Maybe some people changed their perspective on zaps. I agree with nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s on this one. Zaps should be the tips for a note that you REALLY liked and wanted to reward the author. Otherwise we’re just replacing likes with micropayments.

It’s partly the WoS effect. They had an enormous share of the user base in the US, though the zapathon had already been on the decline for a while since Damus lost note zaps.
I’d predict there will be a purpose that gains momentum again one day. Further adoption, regulatory ease, who knows… maybe even Liquid, NutZaps or other stress tests that we can rise to the occasion on.
If there is one thing I know… plebs love a challenge and rising to an occasion. 🤙🏻
