At least in my country, every new law makes it more expensive or risky to hire women: MeToo laws that ignore the presumption of innocence, forcing companies to provide childcare facilities if they hire women of childbearing age, longer pre- and post-natal leave, monetary transfers from men's health insurance to women's (to compensate for alleged wage inequality), etc.
