I think you reap what you sow so sowing seeds of respect ultimately yields rewards in the form of blessings (can be tiny or ginormous). But matching reality wouldn’t yield a reward because it’d be sowing seeds of cruelty and/or deception. The world we live in is a cruel and wicked place. So matching reality wouldn’t yield a reward but instead condemnation.

It’s an interesting question though because when you think of it from first principles then they’re both true. If you match the realities of life then you can be rewarded by nature for following the rules of nature.
