With Amethyst, the best you're going to get is DM notifications. I genuinely hate notifications so I haven't really explored their options, but I don't think you can get notifications for things like likes or replies or the normal kind of stuff you're used to getting on Twitter.
Ah ok. well, that seems like a flaw. I'd definitely be on here much more if I could see what people are doing when I'm not actively in the app. I can't just spend all day in here waiting for stuff to happen.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ to each their own. Like choosing when i check in not being goaded and spoon fed by my apps as to when i need to check them.
I obviously don't need this for something like Twitter which I'm used to checking quite often.
But for something like Nostr that I'm onboarding to, if I don't get notifications I'll just forget it exists.
Not sure how to respond to that other than you choose where to focus your energy. If you'd rather spend it at Twitter, you do you, dawg.
