Hiked to Larch Mountain from the Yacolt Burn trailhead this morning. I finally broke the mental barrier of crossing over into Washington state for day hikes. I was looking to explore more of the Tarbell Trail to see if there are more potential campsites and water sources. I did find a decent campsite along Cold Creek. I feel like I need to backpack in this area again and camp at least one night on Silver Star Mountain.
