He could educate himself properly on this in about 2 hours and the cost of the hardware setup is ~0.25% of his stack - 2 hours and a fraction spent to protect that much wealth is a minuscule investment versus entrusting a third party in an industry rife with fraud and corruption.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is completely fucking up their threat modelling.
