What did I miss?

Damus adds those to your profile when you enable the Onlyzaps settings, which turns off reactions.

I also don’t understand why some people have a purple badge (like you) and other have purple bust (like me)?

The purple just means you follow the person. The badge shows up when you have a NIP-05 set.

The little badge symbol by mine means I have a NIP-05 set. The little symbol by yours means either you don’t have one set or Damas is not detecting it.
