It is sad, indeed. As a father of a 15yo girl and a 5yo boy, I feel this problem every day.

With little kids, it's relatively simple to deal with, but especially with teens, it's a dilemma!

While the "screens" harm them, we can't get them off entirely because 90% (or more) of their social lives are on the internet. Get the internet out of them and they will have no friends to talk to.

Lose lose situation :(

We have to treat it like driving a car, IMO. We don’t just let kids get behind the wheel. Have to educate them. Unfortunately, there will always be tragedy, but have to put the time and effort in educating them on how to use the tool, appreciate the luxury, and comprehend the dangers. Easier said than done for sure, it will require coordination and relentless attention. Have to do it though
