Fractions of a bitcoin weren't referred to as satoshis on whitepaper day. That didn't come until many moons later.

Sats were named organically by the users, but by all means letβs just give the corporations what they want.
Names evolve. Marketing evolves.
Also there's no mention of "bitcoins" in the whole whitepaper...
