We shall not forget that spam is also free speech. I shall be allowed to say anything I want, even stupid bullshit.

But nostr is not about you will face no censorship. It's about being able to be not fully censored.

This can be even true, if all major relays are censoring you, because you can host your own data.

That is a different story, that currently the discovery on nostr makes you invisible if you don't post on major relays.

But technically the protocol itself allows you to still have notes stored somewhere, and anyone can read it by connecting to the right relays.

But if we solve the discovery issue, major relays censoring you won't be a problem.

Just my 5cents.

No. In my private space (my relay, for example) I can censor whatever I want and you don't have any inherent right to it.

But you have the right to own your own relay and there you can say whatever you want.

Exactly! Well put!

So you can have a social media where anyone still can decide what they do with your notes on their relay, but you have the option to have your own relay, and do whatever you want with it.

Try it with trad social media.
