I use these $8 digital timers to cycle the oil-filled heater in my van and on my hydroponic lights at home. The problem is that the mechanical relays fail after a couple of months. So, I’m adding a solid state relay. Digital timers have more setting options, are quieter, and have less parasitic draw. But they all come with crap relays.
