i hope that the next time i travel by air it will be my last until the craft is powered by antimatter and has gravity control systems and can escape the gravity well
also, you probably have a conversation you need to have with your dear old dad

Yeah definitely not a fan of commercial airlines. While I am in awe of flying, I find the whole experience very much at odds with the feeling of freedom I usually have.
I've no idea what would have happened if I'd spent the whole day with my FIL. Missing the flight has reduced the time I've been with him & I think it's worked out quite well in the end. He's a bit of a miserable boomer sometimes & it can be a bit draining to be around him for long.
It's been an interesting experience. I've not been presented with many negative situations from which to test this more optimistic mindset. I'm grateful for it but also eager to finish the reason for the trip & get back home.
i pray that it goes smoothly from here on...
i don't have a lot of contact with people outside of nostr, but fortunately mostly pretty ordinary and not too exciting.. the comings and goings of the neighbourhood are amusing sometimes
maybe the optimism doesn't pay off with ease but it always pays off with easy times with difficult people... especially if you are wise to not get caught up with solving their problems or accepting blame for some random shit they are cranky about
