You asked, “before Obamacare everyone could afford healthcare costs insurance?” No one including myself said that. Health insurance has always been broken within the US. I said ever since Obamacare and the MLR law with no price cap healthcare costs shot way up. There are many factors besides the MLR law why that is, people without health insurance using the ER as their primary causing people with health insurance to offset the costs of people without health insurance, no free market to know what anything costs within the healthcare field. Yes, health insurance is broken within the US but healthcare is by far the best out of anywhere in the world. I was on Obamacare just this past year and it was $383 a month with a $15,000 deductible. I have no preexisting conditions. Insanity!

Gentlemen can we both agree that the government's manipulation of the market is what caused this issue?

Reducing supply by limiting the amount of Residencies that can happen (People who can become doctors), and increased Demand Curve (Insurance basically covering every excessive cost without any market negotiation to reduce prices), essentially those factors, and more put strain on the market efficiency of The Healthcare system at large.
