the Bible teaches 2 resurrections: resurrection of the soul, and then resurrection of the body.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. “Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.” (John 5:24–25)

that’s # 1

“Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.” (John 5:28–29)

That’s # 2

# 1 only happens to believers. They hear and they believe.

#2 is universal. All people.

Adam and Eve sinned. >>> spiritual death.

We need to be raised to new life. In christ, that’s what God does.

“[I want you to know]. . .the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, (Ephesians 1:19–20)
