There's better things out there than the raspberry pi. But the raspberry pi got slightly more useful. Good for node networks like ours.

2x speed + 8GB for $80 is not bad.

After the costs of new active cooling heatsink and 27W power adapter, it still might be more cost effective to get a used ThinkCentre or EleiteDesk
