Quickly

Quietly

I whisper

Owowowowowoow

People look confused

Are you doing an animal call

We're not sure

What you're trying to do

No not at all

As I scramble

For what seems like an eternity

Trying to pull my self from the clutches

From the door I try to free me

As I get it open

And pull my hand back

They understand

That I was painfully trapped

Their faces turn sympathetic

And full of suprise

Feeling pathetic

I smile

Look in their eyes

And say

Well clearly

I'm just trying to get out of work

Thought I'd get to go home early

If I injured myself

Like a jerk

But it failed I'm not even hurt

They knew I was kidding

And could see I was alright

As they leave

And fade out of sight

I run to another room

Where I can secretly lick my wounds
