I think you uncovered something that needs to be understood by more people. Transparency is essential for choice, making that point is most valuable. But in the meantime it is also trivial because everyone is free to use primal or not. I personally don't like trending as a feature, it diminishes the value of the client for me because I'm more interested in perspective and less interested in hype.
