it can't be denied that it was probably important for the developers though. takes a bit of time for this stuff to grow.

of course. the conference really was for them to break the geek ice together, nothing more. :) why they didnt do it in say, like utah or something though i will never understand.
there is some legacy from the crypto world there. first Bitcoin conference i ever went to was in the Canary Islands. it was tiny too. but Bitcoin type people just wanna have events in fanciful locations in my experience.
