History is weird. We can't agree on whether there was a genocide just 80 years ago. Whether we landed on the moon 50 years ago. Whether a plane really crashed 15 years ago.

There are 100 year old people alive today. 🤷‍♂️

It's weird..

Ben Franklin wrote some seriously fucked up slop in his ("the") very first editions of news in america; do we still cling to those ideas? Teach them to children? 🤔

We still remember Franklin, Shakespeare & Aristotle for a reason. History is a work in progress, and sometimes truth comes later. It's the lack of attribution that worries me. Many people think AI creates these ideas from whole cloth, when in reality they are tapestries weaved from the thoughts of man. I worry somewhere in there we lose something.

Who we remember in history is easy; who we can't possibly remember, and from when, and why, is where things get interesting.

(It's worth noting that bitcoin is one of the most genuine sources of perpetual history that humanity has ever had)
