We seem to be living in a neo feudal society.

The billionaires aka Oligarchy (the new nobles) vote via donations to political parties.

Our free votes seem to choose the middle managers that halndle all the tax revenue.

The massive enterprises run by the oligarchs get socialy bailed out for infrastructure development, research, and bad investment decisions, while keeping all their profits.

The oligarchs are global citizens. governments have become middle managers. Sort of like barons of old.

At least we get to choose the middle manager that governs us....

A lot of folks have said the last few times that if you don’t go and vote your part of the problem .. there wasn’t really anyone running last time that I wanted to vote for .. if it’s my right to vote , then I should be voting for who I want and not juts to vote to vote? A lot of folks tried to tell me I was a part of the problem for not taking thier so called vaccine too.. what’s the difference between these two attitudes towards someone who has the right to make that decision for them selves?

When you vote, generally your selecting the person in charge of your region. The leader of the party is an avatar for the will of that party.

Read their platforms.

Become informed.

Get to know yourself well enough to know what's important to you.

Democracy is far from perfect, but it currently the beat system available.

For me:

Pro nuclear energy

Fiscally Conservative

Pro privacy

Pro liberty

Anti monopoly

I think I’m informed enough to know that democracy doesn’t work right where I live. The empire of the US is a failed state at this point . Left/right mind hive is just not my thing , I’m a conservative by nature not politics. I agree with those items you listed but no one is actually going to accomplish those things if who’s going to be filling the job keeps getting decided on like this. True democracy always fails, always has. Most people have the illusion of democracy, what really happens isn’t because they collected enough votes and then they go and do what they said they would because of that.

The Two Party system is far from perfect as you can only vote for the lesser evil IMHO. But having to form a coalition of many parties isn't ideal either.

Oh and to add to your list I'd say public services should be run by the government, not privatised. It is unknowable if prices would've increased as much if they were in charge, but here they have pretty much skyrocketed after privatising 😔

When the government is run for the people by the people that makes sense but our government serves special interests masquerading as that kind of government . The servers know not the difference and just serve according to policy. Maybe 23 representatives in our gov are not wrapped up in this but it could be less 👁️

Well, modern day coin clipping, or debasement of the currancy has happened. Keynesian economics has destroyed our currency and created an almost neo feudal society. The oligarchy rules, while governments have become middle managers of the peasants.

Things are not more expensive, our dollar is worth less than it was.

A fork has the same value as it did last year... It just costs more dollars per fork.

Yeah , they pretty much stole all the fake money they made and the rest of the world said no thanks, folks have no idea what’s really going on. If they don’t start holding people accountable they will likely loose any kind of grip they still have. There is a reason we were advised to not put faith in man, I’ve still got hope because of this #nostr community though,, I’m blessed to have someone by my side who loves me and I love too,, that’s all I need and it’s enough to be thankful for every morning ,, I’m likely done participating in the senseless acts that our so called government wants us to participate in. It meets the definition of insanity and I’m done with that. I’ve made mistakes , and I’ve paid the prices for them because I accepted responsibility for my actions and grew from that experience, the wrath will eat them up eventually and I don’t think standing so close to them is a good idea. Time to goto the fiat mines , hope someone orders some dang pizza today and feels the spirit to tip thier delivery guy, lol,, it’s not been pretty the last few months, have a blessed day ! PV
