I guess there are still places around Italy where an espresso is one Euro for locals. Touching this prices would mean civil war for Italians..

Here where I am in Italy, before Covid I would pay 0.7€ for an espresso (not seated, for us often there's difference in price if you seat on a table).

Now average is 1,1€ .. I felt ripped. Since it reached 1€ stopped taking 5/6 coffee outside, reduced to almost 2/3 week max.

Buying better quality coffee grains for home now, stacking more sats.

For probably a quarter of the taste.. 😅

You could take it a step further and order green beans and roast them at home. I roast mine on an old wok. Significantly cheaper than high end roasted beans, and great variety available.
