Not a fan of government involvement with bitcoin but this was inevitable. Bitcoin doesn’t stop war or senseless violence. It just makes it more expensive and that will take more time.

Was it inevitable though? Feels like there was a lot of advocacy to get government involved on the regulatory front. Should have just flown under the radar and defunded the state.
There are government people who own bitcoin and want to pump their own bags. Cynthia Lummis is one of them. The trajectory of bitcoin is not in anyone’s control. I just don’t like that so many in bitcoin have cheered this on as if it’s a win.
Agreed, definitely not a win, when combined with the core 30 issues, what not to say government isn’t trying to influence Bitcoin is some backhanded way.
Government influences everything. As long as it exists, core/knots policies are influenced by it. Coin join and mixers are influenced by the existence of the government. Kyc policies too. Whether it’s direct through legislation or indirect through surveillance attacks and taxation. Bitcoin doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
True I get what you are saying
