Notice also the manipulation of expectations - "we will (do/not do)" means they have the power, they rule you. In the US (I also think we're powerless) we usually hear something like "I do not support {} / I will fight for {}" - the extra verb indicates uncertainty, which is less powerful. So the little commoner people in the UK are being trained into an expectation of powerlessness.
A great example of how politicians lie.
Their tactic? They just redefined what it means to be working people.
These dickheads are very careful with their language so they can manipulate the voters. Sadly, it works... over and over again.
