I gotta say, as a designer, the last iteration of the Twitter icon was great. It’s roundness is inviting and playful. It was nice to have seen the logo visually evolve over the years. Naming the platform twitter was a thoughtful and lighthearted way to it support its purpose. The usage of the word tweet reinforced this. When I first joined I didn’t tweet for years. Mainly because it was intimidating for me. I’m more of a visual person and even writing this concisely is difficult. But I loved reading tweets throughout the day and was amazed at how funny and clever people could be in a limited amount of characters. I loved the audience/the users because they made the platform. To me Twitter was a conduit for diversity with all the feels, a variety to topics and people, the latest tech, real time news and artists, writers and celebrities that were surprisingly opinionated and/or astute. It’s sad to see it replaced by something so hard edged ⚔️

I guess that the idea was to break the platform and old sentiments and be able to move to the new territory, whatever it will be. People have accounts already. Let's see how it plays out for x.
