#Nostr is a public forum, but I think there’re moments where we can self-censor.
I read the latter in nostr:npub1fl7pr0azlpgk469u034lsgn46dvwguz9g339p03dpetp9cs5pq5qxzeknp ‘s note as that, a freedom of self expression without fear, feeling shielded by the personal ownership of our identities.
It is still the early days. I hope this strengthens our ability to handle criticism in the future.
That’s my point. I would self sensor myself on other platforms as I knew it would risk my account being taken or shadow banned from the their algorithm.
On base layer of nostr my voice can not be censored or shadow banned. Sure relays or clients can try shut me up or hide my content but I can always just move to the relay or run my own relay that supports free speech.
