For factory's work one of these each year
I wear a steel toe for work, about the 1/yr for me as well. Looking for something that has a steel shank as I will be digging in at the far for the next but.
I'm a guy with three and four pairs of the same shoe. 
If I am pulling weeds or harvesting then I wear Crocs, if I need to use shovel or power tools then it is work boots
