Yeah, the snake was under the bed, and the cat was *very* interested in killing it. The house was built in 1930, so there are probably lots of places a little guy like that could squeeze in.
Glad your cat brought attention to it.
Me, too! A couple of years ago I left the front door open while I went out to tend the chickens and came back to a much bigger one hanging out on the umbrella stand in the entryway. Few things will get your heart pumping like an unexpected indoor snake... 😆
