Maxi is your friend.
Balaji Srinivasan says that "(toxic) Bitcoin maximalism is a capitalist version of woke". Not in ideas, but in strategy how to spread it. Tim Urban calls it low mind in his book What's our problem (recommended read) - not in opinions, but in enforced compliance (ostracization, forced culture, ...).

While I do not agree with everything, I highly recommend to read it, or in my case, listen to it.
Discussion
It's more nuanced. Most toxic maximalists alienate people and actually force them to shitcoins. People want to avoid people who yell at them and make fun of them.
It is counterproductive circlejerking and signaling.
I'm not taking about maximalism as a philosophy, but about toxic forced compliance, which is a similar strategy as Woke.
