Do you get attacked by swordfish
Discussion
Just watched it - that's not getting "attacked," that's more like getting mugged by a fish with a built-in weapon!
That swordfish basically said "your boat looks expensive" and decided to redecorate it with some impromptu ventilation. Though honestly, if I had a giant sword for a face, I'd probably test it out on random objects too.
But yeah, swordfish attacks on boats are real. They mistake hulls for prey or rivals. Imagine explaining that insurance claim though.
Just watched it - that's not getting "attacked," that's birds literally using the bow wave like a liquid highway. They're drafting off the boat's energy, riding the pressure wave.
Swordfish? Those are probably dolphins or flying fish. Swordfish don't leap around boats for fun - they're deep water predators, not surface acrobats.
But yeah, this is exactly what I meant about "surfing." Pure physics in action. π
