All the members of YMO are excellent composers, and they have provided many hit songs to musicians since the 1970s.

When Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi passed away, their works were broadcasted as tributes, but no matter who was singing, I could tell which composer’s signature was woven into them.

They were ‘stylistic’ from the beginning, and maybe it just took time for the world to understand that.

坂本龍一と高橋幸宏が亡くなった時には、彼らの作品が追悼放送されましたが、歌っているのが誰であっても、どの作曲家のシグニチャーが織り込まれているのは分かりました。

彼らは初めから "stylistic" で、世界がそれを理解するのに時間がかかっただけかもしれません。
