joining #nostr in late feb wasn’t the easiest.
it’s certainly not as easy as threads but i’d consider the joining difficulty level a feature that weeds out the lazy and dummies that we may or may not want to interact with.

I regard it as a plus, but it’s also going to impede growth if what nostr community wants is to become popular.
Personally, I prefer indie, NON-main stream stuff. Popularity tends to also increase ⬆️ the number of jerks.
i think right now nostr falls under interest-based and it's not for everyone. i kind of like it that way.
Yea the barriers to entry are definitely a feature. Certainly don’t need everyone from legacy tech coming onto Nostr
