Went to delete my Facebook today and remembered that I was one of the earliest on the platform. I joined sometime in late 2005 to maybe early 2006. They didn’t even have a fucking news feed then. Just profiles and you had to look up your friends. I was at boarding school in Connecticut when a kid whose friend or family member got him in and he sent us all invites. I remember being confused at first but over the next few months Facebook started exploding and it was an incredible experience for a 14 year old freshmen starting high school. The same excitement I feel about Nostr now. So crazy to think Facebook has been attached to me for over 17 years! Holy shit that is a long time to be associated with anything. It’s weirdly emotional….
