In every century there are people telling you…

Say nothing, do nothing, be nothing, head down, know your place, stay small and don’t upset the established order.

It is only the rare people who reject that doctrine whose names we remember.

For good and bad.

“Talk less, smile more.” - fictitious Aaron Burr in Hamilton

The people who did this survived. There is wisdom to this. Beware the politician and their wicked lies.

For some survival is simply not enough

:( … Say nothing, but there is a middle finger in each persons hand :)

“It is comfortable if I lay low”

“I have my career to think about”

“Somebody else will do it”

That’s why no one will remember your name

Why do people want to be remembered in the first place? Remembered by whom?

I mean one day you will be dead and not see that you will be remembered or not.

People should enjoy their short life and try to be the person they really are in their inner. The rest will fly at you. Even successes that could be remembered. 😜

Everyone wants to believe they are the hero, even though few are.

in today’s f’ed up world, no one is.

Keeping the status quo isn’t always a bad thing.

I think it is something randomly distributed in the DNA. The capability to delude ourselves with a narrative and take mindless action toward it, following some physical or metaphysical leader, gives us many advantages as a species. Then rebels are just a tiny portion to check the scale of the first phenomenon."

we remember those names because they became mainstream and accepted ) I don't think we know the names of the really smart people at all.
