I helped my first tourists of the year who were wandering around the grocery store looking for the beer aisle. Sorry, beer aisles are illegal in Alaska, you to go to the weird little liquor store attached the grocery store, but with a separate entrance. Even after living in here for 15 years I can't over how stupid this is.

In New Hampshire, the state used to (I think that they are no longer) OWN the only "Liquor Stores". Comically, they set up a number of these stores on the Massachusetts state line, which at the time observed "blue laws", making ANY alcohol sales, including beer and wine, illegalion Sundays.
New Hampshire, of course, had no compunction regarding Sundays and the line of cars driving up the interstate from MA to NH on Sunday mornings, or even better, drunk driving on Saturday night, to buy alcohol or beer for football Sundays was quite hilarious.
