Most people have 4 grandparents, I had 6 (step dad)…
Only my maternal grandfather is left with us and come hell or high water we will be making it out to visit him for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
I keep wondering how many more times me and my daughter will ever get to be with him…
Whether by blood or pure love, family is everything.
We are social animals in the long run, so relationships are really important.
Not to mention, that usually we don't remember what people did to us, only how they made us feel.
I never met grandfathers. Died before I was born.
Never spoke the language of grandmothers, they have since passed too.
This Brings me closer to my parents.
