Statistical surprise of the day is that only 14% of German men under 50 say they would refuse to fight for Germany. An astonishing 61% have said they are ready to fight. That matches the general impression I have, from speaking with German men, with men under 25 being the most-martial.

And it's mostly socialists refusing: the Left Party, the Green Party, and BSW from Sahra Wagenknecht. The most martial are the FDP -- whose leader, Christian Lindner, is a reserve officer -- with 74%, and the AfD with 61%. (21% of women would be willing to fight, but we have no further details, as to what else is ailing them.)

Also, 59% of the German population would like to spend more on defense, as opposed to 42% who would like to spend more on environmental stuff and a meagre 18% who think #Germany needs to pay more people more money to not-work.

If you went down in history for helping decentralize git and dying to protect people in world war 3 that would be pretty badass

But helping decentralize git and surviving to help with the death penalty trials of war criminals would be even more badass

And helping decentralize git but then doing war crimes would just make Microsoft look good

After i saw how people of the country i live is treaten people who refuse to take injection or wear a mask i will never fight for them. Never! And also never for any political system or party.

Anyway I personally think the statistic is riged as they want to grow the will in men to go to fight. And of course to fight against anybody THEY want you to fight.

Was the question “Are you ready to fight to defend your country from an invasion” or “How do you feel about being shipped out to a muddy trench in a territory bordering Russia” ? I bet you would get very different answers.

It's focused on defending German territory, of course.

It's a study done annually, since the 90s, by a private statistical service for the military, and you can see how the Russian invasion caused defense-willingness to rise.
