When something triggers you often points to your unresolved emotions, unmet needs or aspect of yourself that you may not acknowledge. Maybe this can also manifested into shadows

For example if you got triggered by someone else success, maybe it reflect desire for recognition

If you got triggered by someone ability to express themselves or their intimacy (jealousy), maybe it reflect on desire of love, attention or secure love that is missing

What triggers you is a mirror to yourself

This is perfect, thank you! Without being too specific, I felt upset about a thing because I felt like I didn’t stand up for myself in a past similar situation so there’s inner shame that turns into anger in my present.
