This is so much more true than I realized. This week I posted a couple times I wanted to connect to great engineers enthusiastic about llms and building tools to leverage them. Mainly because I really want to get away from Linkedin.
Before I knew it I was chatting with a couple of people in the comments and dms, all whom feel like genuinely great people.
Jumped on a call with one of them yesterday and we had an amazing 2 hour conversation on a Friday night. We could have talked through the night.
The whole experience was like a podcast with a fantastic guest - instead of a โjob interviewโ.
It might be a coincidence or I gravely underestimated how much value Nostr already brings.
To value a network - doesnโt Metcalfโs law exclusively look at # nodes and # connections?
The magic might actually be in the quality of the connections and nodes, not merely the amount of them. This actually sounds obvious.
